Description

This 3 hour course is designed as a basic introduction to first aid and for all employees who require basic first  aid knowledge but do not require to be registered and certificated as HSE approved first aiders and for anyone else just seeking and introduction to basic first aid. They may progress from this onto a EFAW course or a FAW course.

The short duration of the course means that it is impossible to cover all first aid topics but as a minimum the course will cover:-

• Casualty and Incident Management
• Management of the Unconcious Casualty
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• Choking
• Management of Severe Bleeding and Shock
• Management of Burns
• Management of Fractures and Soft Tissue injuries …and other conditions as time permits
