After graduating with a Business degree I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then moved out of the profession to gain wider experience. I have worked for a manufacturer of bearings for all types of vehicles, a multinational petrochemicals producer, as well as in the Insurance industry, working in the Life Assurance & Pensions business. In 1992 I moved into the charity sector where I have worked for a provider of mental health services, a Housing Association, and a UK-wide charity in the health sector, before starting in my current role at EVOC.
During my career I have gained specialist skills and experience in computer systems design, internal controls and risk management, and both financial and management accounting. I was a founder member of the Scottish Charity Finance Directors’ Group and helped to provide education and networking opportunities for their members.

Information About Current Role

Here at EVOC I manage the Business team, who provide a range of services including Finance and book-keeping, Grant awards and administration, I.T., H.R., Communications, Training (both internal and external) and general Reception and Administration duties. I am also working to promote Charity Independent Examinations within Scotland, to be provided by CVS organisations as a service to their members.

I am interested in helping individuals and organisations to fulfil their potential, through support, encouragement, training and development.
