I have worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years with experience in mental health, young and older people’s services. Outside of paid work I have been involved in a number of environmental campaigns/struggles, sometimes successfully; and have a long standing interest in ways in which we are able to shape our spaces. I spent more time in further education than is reasonable and certainly more than has been useful. I like spiders, donkeys, lizards and camels but generally can’t be bothered with animals.

Information About Current Role

I provide community development support to community groups and voluntary agencies on a wide range of issues, with a focus on governance and management. I also work with forums of voluntary sector providers to facilitate and promote the interests and concerns of providers and to develop links with partners.

I am a member of a number of groups which bring agencies together to address health inequalities in the city.
